The FreeMesh Nodes are mesh access points that extend full-speed Wi-Fi 6 to every corner of your home. They join the FreeMesh router over a wireless or Ethernet backhaul and broadcast the same network, so all of your devices roam seamlessly between them.

FreeMesh nodes automatically connect wirelessly to your FreeMesh router to create a wireless backhaul, or you can use an Ethernet cable to connect your nodes to create a wired backhaul. Ethernet backhaul also works with managed switches that have STP support.

No. FreeMesh is a one-time purchase. Because it is fully open source, there is no subscription and no monthly service fee.
Not on a fixed schedule. FreeMesh is open source and plug-and-play right out of the box, and you are always in control of updates and customization.
Yes. You can factory-reset the FreeMesh router and install any supported OpenWRT firmware for this hardware.
Yes. Each node includes Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, so you can connect wired devices or use an Ethernet cable for a wired backhaul.
